Here’s today’s delicious serving of fun fact! Did you know that the great conqueror Alexander the Great used #saffron for its supposed curative benefits during his campaigns throughout Asia? The legendary Macedonian king supposedly bathed in warm water sprinkled with saffron to heal his war wounds. Him and his men often ate saffron rice and regularly drank saffron tea to rejuvenate their strength for another day on the battlefield. Talk about a magical spice!
