Starting as a toffee-like texture, our Fairy Floss is then pulled and stretched on a table until it turns into the swirly, fine threads we all love.
Unbelievably, this super-sweet treat was invented by Dentist, William Morrison!
In Persia, Fairy Floss is called ‘Pashmak’, which means ‘wool-like.’
Sesame is added to the sugar before melting, and then, the toffee-like material is spun into threads; traditionally by hand, but now done with machinery.
